The finished model

It took hundreds of hours of painstaking work to complete the model to the standard I originally envisaged. Lack of reference material stalled the build after the first planking, and whilst I was accustomed to working with wood, the brass fittings presented a great challenge. The completed model is protected with a hand-built glass and mahogany case with a mirror base.
